If Tha Carter III weren't leaked, Wayne would be a hell of a lot more popular with people with working brains instead of brainless radio listeners, Tha Carter IV would have been a better album, he would have sold out a lot later, he wouldn't be hated by as many assholes nowadays and he would be put in GOAT rappers lists more often. It's a shame... But now, we can only ask. What could have been?

Disagree on the basis that those leaks gave him a ton of hype. IMO Drought is Over pt 2 is one of the biggest reasons Carter 3 sold so well (aside from Lollipop). Tracks like I Feel Like Dying, Something You Forgot, Prostitute Flange (the real one), and that "rapping is my hobby my house has a lobby" song lol all majorly hyped lil wayne. The empire did him a favor imo. People knew to expect some real shit when they heard "C 3" at the beginning of a track, everyone wanted Tha Carter III after that...
