Do you dislike C4?

I don't feel like he put all he could into it though. it could have been better if he had stayed with his 07-08 style. But Wayne always changes so you really don't know what to expect from any of his albums.

pres carter was one of the few songs I liked on C4.

in my personal opinion it's no c1 or c2, but it has enough bangers on it to stand as a solid record. "It's Good" has always been one of my favorites on it.

I can sit here and type of list of things I don't like about C4, but no one's gonna read dat, so i'll just get to the point.

One major reason why I was personally disappointed was because 6'7". I thought my nigga was back, but then he dropped songs like John and How to Love, which were terrible.

Another obvious reason is his lyricism. It's flat and uncreative. I know times have changed, but that doesn't mean Wayne can't be creative with his lyricism. The punchlines were horrendous and extremely elementary.

The album was also full of singles, no substance.

The songs were very average to mediocre, even the ones I like.

I can't get into it, no matter how hard I try.

And it just doesn't feel like a Carter album. Too many holes, no substance, nothing special, and nothing amazing that made it stand out.

But, I don't see why people who are on the C3 bandwagon hate C4 but love C3, both are mediocre overrated albums that have little to no substance and have mainstream appeal, what's not to like?

Whenever I listen to Wayne on shuffle, and a C4 song comes on, I am like "you know what, C4 aint that bad." Same with D4

but then when C2/C3 or D2 comes on, I'm like "fuck C4" lolol

Are you gonna say you didnt think 6 foot 7 foot was the hardest shit wayne dropped in a while! Every 5 seconds i found myself rewinding to hear a line again and it just went so hard it made me say "WOW"
(I feel this song resembles "Dead Bodies" which is an older song that goes extremely hard.)

Listen to "Nightmares Of The Bottom" so much lyrical shit on there its insane!

Listen to "President Carter" he killed it very lyrically!

Listen to "How To Hate" (and How To Love) this song has a "fuck this bitch ass bitchy bitch who left me" type of vibe going on

Listen to "Megaman" he KILLED it. Nuff.

Listen to "She Will" he spits some very good verses on this song.

Listen to "Up Up And Away" he fucking killed it nothing more to say.

Listen to "Two Shots" he goes very hard on this song and i love the lines "write your name on the bullet thats a fuckin love letter" and "shoot many times imma choke off the gun smoke"

Listen to "Abortion" he rides the track like its nothing at all and makes a great song

And i really wonder why many wayne fans didnt like it.

I think C4 just had high expectations, I can still bang a few of the songs on there. But I don't think anyone could have lived up to the expectations. Still a good CD.

So Wayne called 2Pac, who said he was good, and Wayne is saying he is jealous of him.

It's nothing amazing, but it's okay wordplay, definiately not the worst I've heard.

glad someone explained it, cos i was about to. you're right, it's not the greatest line, but it is far from the worst. actually, that line has always been really dark and depressing to me... like he's saying he's jealous of pac because he doesn't have to deal with the bullshit of fame anymore now that he's dead. it's one of those lines like "whoa, time for a shrink...." kinda like that other line from c4 in nightmares when he says "I should cut myself" - i know it's part of a larger thought/punchline but the way he says it is like he's flirting with that fucked-up-ness lol. there's a lot of darkness and boredom on c4... that shit may end up becoming a cult classic or something lol
