  • I thought about this

I hear a lot of people saying how Wayne, will not wayne in general, but also Rick Ross, Tyga, and these good "swag" rappas, are "unlyrical"

I feel like they choose to be, I feel like just because they dont wanna hop on some old school type beat and spit with a rhymeschme consistiing of multiple syyllable rhyming, like Nas or Joey Bad*** doesnt mean that they dont have the ability to do it.

I use to think this to, I use to think man, Wayne will never be as lyrical as Eminem or something, but then I realize, maybe he just chooses to stick to the simple flow, cause it just fits him?

Come on, imagine Rick Ross rapping some lyrical type thing, over some "real old shcool" hiphop beat.
It wouldnt fit his style right.

Just cause they don't, doesnt me they cant.

wayne does have lyrical songs in his catalogue doe

obviously he doesnt want or need to go lyrical on every song he puts out doe

especially feature verses for people like shanell doe

You're probably right about Ross, but it'd be interesting hearing him do it. But Lil Wayne tho? Wayne could really try nearly any type of style and he could make it fit him. He's done oldschool, new school, etc... He could do deep lyrical shit whenever he feels the need to (he's already proven he could countless times) but he prefers that metaphor/wordplay style he got going on.

Yall know what I noticed? That Wayne started off that metaphor/wordplay style... aint nobody was doing it as much til he did that. Before it was just rap with maybe a couple here and there, now we got rappers today constantly doing that, especially niggas like Big Sean and Fab. I ain't saying they ass btw, they nice, but still..

Rick Ross? A Swag Rapper? Lol... Okay Officer Ricky... Anyways....

You have to remember that Wayne doesn't write his lyrics.

I'm pretty sure Nas brainstorms and writes his songs.

So he has that kind of time to actually think of a good ass verse or rhyme.

Wayne doesn't write nor does he have a ghost writer (i think)

But sadly many people don't know that about weezy lol

thats true thats true. i forgot, it would be hard to come up with some high vocab words w/ multi syllbles without writing, hes done it before, but its easier to write it down

lol don't put Wayne in the same sentence with Ross and Tyga. Wayne's had deep lyrical tracks, he wasn't always mainstream.
