Dedication 4 is my favorite project to drop this year.
And I listen to all albums and mixtapes these other rappers drop.
To me too, expect for Kendrick Lamar's album..I think GKMC is one of the greats albums in years.
But it's crazy, coz even when wayne isn't in his best times right now he still is rapping better than those new rappers who should sound fresh and dope even though they all sound the same and just being unoriginal..
That's when you really realize that wayne is a legend...all these rappers out right now trying to sound like him..
I liked Dedication 4 since the first day and never slept on it like most have... But I wouldn't compare it to DD3 except for verses like Green Ranger, and I wouldn't compare it to No Ceilings except for verses like Cashed Out... Cashed Out was raw as hell especially the 2nd half of it once he says "I'm a made nigga, Makaveli" he just destroys the shit. Green Ranger HONESTLY sounds like something he'd spit in DD3 and I ain't bullshittin...
And about new rappers copying Wayne.. it's pretty obvious. Wayne has too many styles, it's hard NOT to copy at least one of them if you new.. ASAP is an example, you could definitely see the Wayne in some of his lyrics. I know Drake said "these rappers, I eat 'em" or something like that on "Fuckin Problems" with ASAP and Wayne started that "eating rappers" shit.. all these niggas copying Wayne.
I still think Wayne changed the game himself. If yall notice everyone always tryna come up with punchlines and shit now instead of it very occasionally, they all do it.. 2 Chainz, Kanye, Jay-Z, Drake, Big Sean, Cyhi, etc... Nobody did it as much like that til Wayne went crazy with it.. they ALL were influenced by him, old and new rappers.
