the weezy fanatic in me always really, really looks forward to new albums and mixtapes, but it really is discouraging knowing those old days will just never be back. it's like a fly in the ointment. i think "yes! IANAHM2 is coming soon!" but then i'm like "shit, how good could it possibly be?" lol. wayne is just so caught up with this lame-ass hashtag rapping and i'm sick of it. he was onto some serious new levels in those pre-prison years (especially 2007). i feel like prison probably saved his life from overdose, but also killed his skill. why does any rapper's skill rely so heavily on a drug? look at a rock band like the beatles... they stopped taking acid but still wrote badass music. weezy's wordplay seems good when you hear it now, but there's always this feeling in the pit of your stomach saying "this ain't the real shit". then you go and listen to drought 3 or c3 sessions and it's just like WTF, what HAPPENED?!?!?!?!?!?!?! I'm so tired of it. I don't mean to be a selfish fan, but weezy fucking gave up his game and it pisses me off. He literally was the best rapper alive and he knew it. he doesn't claim that shit anymore, because he knows he can't back it up. he's still better than most rappers, but it all strikes me as so corny nowadays... and the way he changes his rhyming style to suit the times really just bugs me. on c4 he sounds downright retarded on some tracks when you listen back to back with some prime era shit. i keep thinking one day he's gonna surprise all us true fans and pick up where he left off in his prime. could it really have been just the lean that made him who he was? is that possible?!!?

I'm hoping for that big surprise in the end too, but I doubt it will ever happen. My wish is he would pull his head out his ass and try to give the true old fans what they really want, drop that "make as much money as possible" thought and focus less on the skateboard just that one last studio session before the calm.Last edited by Iamhiph0p; 11-26-2012, 05:13 PM.Take it out the wrapper, sit it on the stoveBreak a gram off and put it in my bitch nose

It won't happen bro. That era is over with.
He isn't that kind of person anymore.
Especially since he has 4 kids, he is planning to get married, he's skating, and this skating thing won't be a blow over.
He is putting alot of work and practice in it along with his trukfit brand.
In a way I feel you man, I wish we could have that Wayne again.
If he would have stayed that way, I think Hip Hop would have been different right now.
But Hip Hop has changed, and it forced Wayne to change with it. That's the only way he can be on top, and what is Hip Hop without Wayne on top of the game?
The best you can hope for is an album with Unreleased music, but that probably won't happen anytime soon.
Just accept his music for what it is now bro.
You can't forget that Wayne doesn't think like us either. He doesn't know how good his music used to be back in those years.
