Same here in Ireland dude it fucking sucks! I'm considered like a hipster because I listen to Weezy even though he's super fucking popular and mainstream in the US! Nobody knows him or any of his music here! How to Love and Mirror were popular for like a week or two but that's it really! No rap or Hip Hop ever really makes it in Ireland!

I've always just wondered, who would takes Wayne's place once he retires? There are a lot of candidates, but who will take the spot.

It wouldn't hit me THAT much, I mean I still got this nigga all in my iPhone and shit..but it'd feel weird. I fucks with niggas out there like Kendrick, ASAP Rocky, Drake, etc. but it just won't be the same without Wayne in there even if he just put shit out like once every 4 months idc. So what yall think?

This PROLLY been made before but iight.. lol

The 6ix god is watching i hope you prepared to face em

Kendrick doesn't have appeal like Wayne.

He has many years before having any title under his name.

Good Kid Mad City was just one album. He still has much to prove if he wants to be a legend in hip hop.

Man once wayne leaves I won't be following hip-hop as much and the game won't be the same with him gone it's just sad to see a legend finally close to an end
I could sell Sweet and Low to Sugar Ray Leonard!!!

Yep it will always be popular, but I don't think the kind of popularity he has right now is great (David Guetta songs etc..)
What I'm saying is todays rap game won't be very changed without him, mostly for hardcore fans. In 2007 the game would be fucked up when he left, he hardly had any haters and gave us that classic music. I wish he would he retire with Carter 3 tbh.
Take it out the wrapper, sit it on the stove
Break a gram off and put it in my bitch nose

I gotta get my cake up see all I eat is dough

It'll be Drake probably. Not personal opinion, just stating facts, he has the mass appeal and flow, where a guy like ASAP is a phase and will die out after his album, Kendrick might be a contender though (who I would prefer see to take it).

I'm the type of person who is a legit stan of one artist and then just listens to small bits of other stuff but it's really all about that one artist! For me it used to be Eminem all day every day until he stopped making music and I needed someone new to be a crazy fan of and Wayne was on top at the time and it's been all about Weezy since then! That's me personally but as far as the rap game, it won't be hugely affected imo! There will always be someone to replace him! When he retires it just leaves an empty space for someone new to fill! He will be remembered as a legend and one of the greats tho!
Damn you hit it home.. I am the same way. I followed Nas all day everyday up until Lil Wayne started snapping.. those are my 2 all time rappers that I follow in hiphop. I bump the rest here and there to fill in the gaps but don't find them interesting and talented enough.

Of course, No where did I state Kendrick is legendary, just one of the reasons I'll still have an interest in following rap as much as I do.

Not many others hold my interest as much. Respect many, follow only a few.
