6 years later but I did some more research into this.

So the first time we heard Wayne reference "I Can't Feel My Face" was on the W. Carter Collection Vol. 2 mixtape with DJ Mick Boogie that was released in early May of 2006. We know this tape is official because Lil Wayne says so on the intro of the tape. Furthermore, on track 13, "Interlude", Wayne says "I Can't Feel My Face featuring Juelz Santana mixtape out right now". Now, Blow was not released until August 2006 so it couldn't of been Blow he was referencing. Before Blow, a mixtape titled "I Can't Feel My Face - Advance" was circulating on the internet and featured all the exclusive songs off of Blow - but unmixed and raw. I still have a copy of it but to this day still can't figure out exactly when it was released, but considering what Wayne says on W. Carter Collection Vol. 2, it must of been around May 2006.

Fast forward to August and the Blow mixtape came out. On the official MixUnit posting for Blow in 2006 (MixUnit was the authority of mixtapes back in the day - they're still active today) it says "Mick Boogie hooks up this tasty with two of the hottest names in the game, Lil' Wayne and Juelz Santana, and brings the official I Can't Feel My Face prequel mixtape."
, which makes it sound official. This post was made August 22nd, 2006.

Also in 2006, Wayne and Juelz would go on tour with Ne-Yo and Chris Brown. I found the article @Leaff quoted in the first post of this thread and in it Juelz says "We was doing a mixtape at first, but it got leaked on the Internet, so we decided to say “F**k it”, ya dig? N***as want the album, so we gonna officially put it out. We still haven’t officially put out our version of the mixtape either. It’s still just a leaked version of the mixtape so we gonna do our version. We got it getting mixed down right now, so we gonna put out the mixtape with all our drops letting the people know we gonna do the album. It’s probably gonna be a Gangsta Grillz or DJ Khaled, something like that. It may even be Green Lantern, we don’t wanna leave anybody out so everybody gonna be involved at the same time because Green Lantern did the “Rubber Burnin’” beat. Drama and them n***as do beats, so we gonna include everybody in everything. It’s official like a ref with a whistle.". Earlier in the article it says "After getting everyone to whistle along to his infectious runaway single, Juelz got a coveted spot performing next to artists such as Chris Brown, Lil Wayne, and Ne-Yo on the Up Close and Personal Tour. It was in the luxury of the Lakeshore W that Juelz hid himself from the brisk Chicago air the day after the all-star lineup performed for the city, reminiscing about how he got to where he is today and shedding some light on what the future may hold.". I found the dates for the tour and they came to Chicago Sept 17, 2006 - so this interview was done Sept 18, 2006. This is where it gets weird. "Blow", a mixtape assumed to be official, came out almost a month before that, and Juelz is saying that there's no official "Can't Feel My Face" tape.

Then in December 2006, Lil Wayne and Raj Smoove released "The Carter Files" mixtape, that we know is official, due to Wayne saying it on the intro. On track 8, "Carter Talk Part 3", Wayne says "You got I Can't Feel My Face mixtape out right now, and then you got the official "I Can't Feel My Face" mixtape coming out later on.". Earlier on in the same interlude Wayne says to go buy Like Father, Like Son, indicating the album was out at this point - so this must have been recorded after October 2006 - 2 months after Blow, the "official" "Can't Feel My Face" mixtape came out.

Also, in early 2007, Wayne was featured on the "Street Talks DVD Volume 13". In an interview on that, Wayne said that "I Can't Feel My Face" was going to be a mixtape, but it leaked before they could put it out officially, so they decided to make it an album - again no reference to Blow.

In addition, the "Weezy Speaks" interlude on "Blow" is a mash up of various interludes Wayne did with Mick Boogie on their official tape "The W. Carter Collection Vol. 2". If you listen to the skits on that tape you can tell the one on "Blow" was spliced together from those. Juelz's skit is from a tape Mick did based around Jim Jones in 2005.

So at this point, I'm not sure tbh. There was a mixtape before Blow with leaks, and I assumed originally they compiled the leaks officially for Blow - but Juelz and Wayne don't seem to know Blow came out. I reached out to DJ Mick Boogie hope he hits me back.

word. the vibe was fabricated tho.. the I Can't Feel My Face (Juelz Solo) song off of the I Can't Feel My Face Advance had a sample from the Blow movie as it's intro, which probably inspired Mick to theme the whole tape around the movie Blow.. and the wayne "interlude" being fake and spliced together doesn't really support the tape..

As a result of this new info (atleast to me), I think it’s safe to say “Blow” is an unofficial DJ mixtape. It seems there was supposed to be an official mixtape, but “Blow” beat it to the punch.

Have either Wayne or Juelz ever done an official mixtape with Mick Boogie? Another thing to look for is to see where the photos of Wayne and Juelz from the Blow cover were cropped from.

                        W. Carter Collection 1 and 2 were done with DJ Mick Boogie

DJ Mick did another mixtape called Color of Money focused on Currensy and Wayne but we know that one was unofficial. Mick was huge on the mixtape circuit in '06, doing tons of unofficial and official tapes
