so im watching this juelz video and im thinking
yo, yall remember what your records used to sound like?

now loooool we got wayne singing to juelz?? like really??

this is where we at now?

wayne gets a lot of flack for some of the feature records he makes,
and deservedly so, but on the otherside, every comes to wayne for these corny ass songs.

soon as we became an absolute star, people didnt come to him to create better music, they came to make a product to sell. thats why you hear wayne on all the most radio friendly songs for an artist. (i think of that my generation song on the nas/damian marley album, that was the onlllllyyyyyy song, that sounded that way, why not get wayne on some of the more challenging shit on there? )

or a producer doesnt send wayne no reall hard shit, they send him the most commercial shit they have, cos they know theyres most likely gonna be a check coming out of it.

smh, waynes been a piggy bank for these wack artists and producers for wayyy too damn long.

I see it as they come/came to Wayne due to his huge popularity and skills. Even if he isn't as good as he used to be, I'm sure they know what he's done or what he's capable of. Wayne could murk a track at will IF he just tried to... he's already said rap hasn't been priority lately so that prolly explains some shit, but he kills it occasionally now. His Stay Hood verse was real nice, Zip It with Turk, Picture Perfect with Juve... Wayne still could kill shit.

And lol... Juelz fucks with Wayne not cause of how big his name is. They got long history together my nigga. They crazy cool with each other Juelz don't care bout no sales with him, Wayne's his homie.

loool its true, but thats whats im sayin, if juve, turk, gunplay or someone like that comes to him. its a different deal. lool they hardly give a fuck about celebrity like that.

but 98% of the other dudes, see wayne as a check. i know juelz doesnt, but why not get wayne to do serious rap record instead of some drake spin off?

loool like somewhere in their heads,, they mustve remembered the verses they spat on blow.

and been like damn, waht the fuck am i singing to you for? looool lets rap b.

      lloool id hope at least.

                      thats a waka song.

but just about every beat on carter 4 sucked.

and its wayne is a paycheck, artists and producers see him as a dollar sign.

hes a means for them to boost their own sales. its rare that people reachout to wayne to make a great record.

its always w the intention to spread their popularity, increase their sales, and when thats the intention.

its always the more accessible records, the more pop oriented records, the stuff, that sounds like its everywhere already.

adding wayne only adds to that. im sayin, ppl dont reach out to wayne as an artist anymore, they reach out to him as a business move. either on features, and even more unfortunately, producers.

we've seen it over and over again, if u give wayne a serious beat, he'll lace a serious rap. but he doesnt get those beats tossed his way anymore. its a shame

if wayne wasn't feeling the beat then he wouldnt rap over it
