(Most people arent fans of all of waynes styles and will only get 2-3 tracks of the wayne they like)

People who only listen to his radio singles/club songs (No Worries, Bitches Love Me, RAF)

People who liked Rebirth (Hello, Hot Revolver)

People who like Mixtape Weezy (Majority of songs)

      Etc.

I honestly love this album. Its not C2 or C3 but its def his best work since hes been out of Jail and in My opinion better then Carter 4.
I felt like this album is a compilation of the artist Wayne is (The artwork makes way more sense after listening to it) its got many diff types of Wayne (Mixtape weezy, Nasty weezy, Deep Wayne, Lovey Dovey Wayne, etc). Im not expecting the best reviews even though I would give this a solid 3.5/4 out of 5.
What type of rating is that?
I like that it was a compilation because it felt like I was listening to Weezy, Wayne, and Tunechi instead of just one. I still don't like Nasty Weezy tho

2.5 out of 5 seems right on to me. For me it has the worst replay value out of all his albums. Only some parts of songs are good and there is always a bad punchline somewhere. Not one song I could listen to without skipping the rest. I played this for the first time blasting it in my dorm room and it turned into a laughing session lol every song had funny/stupid/horrible lines. Hopefully carter 5 is much better than this terrible album. srry

Let's be honest. If Wayne hypothetically dropped the most deep and classic album with Carter 5, I'm sure reviews would find something to criticize, whether its the beat, his flow, hook, or even one corny line. They'll find what they could criticize rather than praise for Wayne. It's just the "cool" thing to do with him these days. We'll see where things will go with his next mixtapes/albums.

I was thinking the same thing. Even if he were to drop a good track/single they still wouldn't like it cuz it came from Wayne, but if Future or whoever made the song they would get praised.

I think it's just cuz he's weird now. If he hadn't started skating, kissing, and having clothes malfunctions(uggs, leggings) people would take the time to listen to him. At this point it's character>quality. Everything he does gets minus 4 points. Trippy=6, Rich as F=4 (that's what the reviewers doing)

The album as a whole is really an 8 but with that minus 4 rule its 4/10 so it won't sell over 400k

I think it's more cause the hype built around C4 and people's high expectations from C3 and seeing what he could come up with after jail.. then most were disappointed heavily. Even tho C4 wasn't bad, it sure can't hold its own against C3. I think that's when and where most of his hate we see right now started from, mid-2011.

C4 was better than C3 though.
C3 had Amilli, mrs. officer, and lollipop(as singles) and Dr.Carter
C4 had 6 ' 7, she will, and how to love(as singles) and President Carter
The C4 lineup is already better than C3 except that Dr.Carter>President Carter. I guess he shouldn't have overhyped it.

The Lil Wayne of several years ago — the “Dedication” mixtapes and the 2008 commercial smash “Tha Carter III” — would never have let his gun talk for him. Where he once exercised hip-hop’s freakiest gift of gab, dominating the field by doing what no one else could, Lil Wayne on this album tries to project power by streamlining his eccentricities. The result is that he just sounds more like everybody else.
                    ...tru.
