I've read a few reviews of IANAHB2 so far and what I think is strange and - most importantly - a testament to weezy's musical eccentricities and tendency to be an acquired taste is the fact that every critic who pans this album has different favorite songs than the next. I've read (and written) a lot of reviews in my time and I've honestly never seen an artist whose critics expect him to be so many things at once. For example: one critic will point out "Romance" and "Wowzers" as the absolute worst things he's ever done, while "Gunwalk" and "Rich as Fuck" are the only worthwhile moments on the whole record...... then in the next review the critic will say something like, "the only flashes of old weezy's humor and skill is in songs like Romance and Wowzers" lol. And this same critic might state that Gunwalk and R.A.F. are run of the mill generic junk. God Bless Amerika has been called the peak moment of this album, but also one of its low points. Trippy is another one; some love it, some loathe it. No one seems to agree! I've never seen an artist divide critics on a track by track basis like that! Weezy has so many versions of himself and he tried to cram them all into an album like he did on c3, which is a hit or miss kinda thing. I think IANAHB2 hits a lot more than it misses. I feel like even when he falters lyrically he's got such a massive foundation of sick production under him at all times here.

I totally agree, I have told some of my friends that I understand why they dont like the album, one of my friend hasnt even heard the album just snippets of a few songs and he says he likes C4 better. This album has 1,2, maybe 3 tracks for all type of Wayne fans (Mixtape, Mainstream, Rock, Lovey, Nasty, Banger fans).
I honestly love Wowzers. Its just a super nasty track. Its honestly the only way I can stand hearing Trina ( she always raps about her pussy n shit and I hate that shit but in the context of WOWZERS, asong about pussy and being nasty, she fits well).

damn wtf?
There are, of course, exceptions. In “Wowzerz” and “Days and Days,” he brings some of the unhinged verbal intensity of yore, and “God Bless Amerika” expands his thematic scope with a haunting meditation on “this old godless America.” He’s good too in “Back to You,” a woozy love song that keeps vacillating between desperate and reserved.
who gives a fuck what critics say anyway, i just think it's hilarious how everyone thinks a different song is the high point of the album. usually with any album, people generally agree which are the standouts and the duds, but on this it seems like these pro critics actually HATE certain songs while their contemporaries LOVE those same songs and vice versa. weezy is all things to all people lol. obviously weezy isn't interested in doing any of his 2005-2009 styles again, so i'm just trying to appreciate it for what it is and go along for the rocket ship ride. hey, at least it's not boring like c4. it's full of bangers, passion and plenty of clever wordplay to go around.
