  • New Lil Wayne fans versus Old Lil Wayne fans?

Why do these new fans act like Wayne started spitting around the carter III days? I mean I've been buying his music since Hot Boys days, The Block is Hot, Lights Out, 500 Degrees, Carter I, and Carter II days. He was spitting back then and honestly after Carter II, I saw a decline in his lyricism. Don't get me wrong, to this present day he will spit some nice lyrics from time to time but it's nothing like the earlier Carter days. The new fans kill me with that Carter III sh*t like it was his best material GTFOH. All I'm saying is that his news fans act like Carter III and beyond was his best material and also why does his real tracks with meaning like Carter I and Carter II has less views? Do to them not having more views, that tell me that most of these new fans/kids just started listening to Wayne. I honestly think the new fans and their mediocre minds made Wayne switch it up to this mediocre music now a days.

No preventing the grind I gotta get it. I'll admit it to the game, true player no quitting. There u go shitting on the way a ni**a thinking. The only history I know is Benjamin Franklin..... Lil Wyane

Fuck is this talk about new fans? It's not like every fan he gained since Carter III doesn't put his old classic over newer material. When they became a fan doesn't affect what kind of music they prefer. Actually I didn't become a huge fan of Wayne until 2010 myself.

I get what you're trying to tell us here, fans of his latest years doesn't recognize his best work but in the end it's all about personal taste. Mainstream rapmusic will always sound better to bigger masses and I don't blame them. I would be so fucking tired of weezy if I shortened down my library to C2 and back.. I can't listen to that "old school" rap all day long.

You really hate C3 that much tho?
Take it out the wrapper, sit it on the stove

Bitch! wake up and help me cook these o's
I gotta get my cake up see all I eat is dough

No I don't hate Carter III. I'm just saying it's not his best material. If you listen to the shit he was saying in Carter I and Carter II, that shit was unbelievable. He was way ahead of his time. Every since I joined this forum, I notice how these new stans put all that new bs above his classic material. Like I saw one post saying that "God Bless America" was his best real song ever GTFOH with that. That's all I'm saying. You got songs like "I Miss my Dawgs" "Get Over" and honorable mention would be "Tie My hands".. If you're a true fan then buy his old shit and then I can respect your opinion. Until then I still say alot of this new sh*t is garbage compared to his older material. It's like Wayne has gotten immature since he's gotten older and was more real when he was younger. I still support him because I was always a fan since day 1 when he was part of B.G. group call the BG's before the Hot Boys came along. I'm in the in-denial stage of I can't believe he's not serious anymore with this music. He say anything now and y'all new fans go ape-sh*t over it. Trust me, I know what he can do and what he's capable of. All I ask for from Weezy is one more real album with substance. That's why I say new fans versus old fans because the older fans know what he can do. PEACE!
