do you think weezy just personally doesn't understand deep, meaningful relationships with women anymore?... or he just can't express himself like that nowadays? i was just listening to "back to you" and the raunchiness of some of those lines sung/rapped over such an epic, powerful production is kinda weird. it's like the equivalent of the love theme for the titanic played over a scene in superbad or project x, lol. like the raunchiness doesn't fit the music. it's almost like the way a teenager would think about love and missing someone.

the way he talks about girls is so one dimensional these days, like they're just cum dumpsters for him to relieve himself in. he claims he respects woman - and i'm sure he does - but why doesn't he have the same emotional depth he did on songs like "something you forgot", "what he does", "killing me", etc.???

I totally agree with you. He seems to not care anymore. Wayne has gained a lot of new fans and he has lost a lot of true hipsters fans that love the art itself. The new generation of ppl from the late 80's to mid 90's mostly care about the clubs, big bootys, alcohol, drugs etc and Wayne is giving them what they want. Everyone has a conscious but he know what sells that's why he cater to it. I'm pretty sure he loves his daughter so like I said he's catering to what a lot of ppl want to hear now. Supply and demand and it's sad!

good points all around. honestly, regardless of what people say there's no way he still smokes weed, because he's getting drug tested regularly and unless he lives in cali and has prescription for it, there's no way he's gonna risk his freedom. on the other hand, it's easy to see how he's still on syrup because it's mad easy to get a quack doctor to prescribe that so he could be taking it 100% legally. it's a shame that drugs affect a man's art so much, but here's how i see it:

since prison release -
c4 - sober wayne
d4 - wayne back on syrup (legally)
ianahb2 - wayne continues on syrup (legally) with this weird, jumpy d4 flow that's wordy and sometimes clever, but seems sex obsessed and kind of childish at times (still a welcome change after c4's flat, disinterested approach)

i think come november he will start smoking weed again and we will see a full return to form. it's just my opinion and i could be way off.... and i'm sure some here will say "wayne is talented no matter what drugs he's on" and that may be true, but there are varying degrees to his talent and i honestly think the weed chills him out but not in a boring c4 way... it slows him down, but makes his mind super sharp and clever. not to mention it seems to curb the constant boner and wet pussy and blowjob shit.

HAHAHA I agree to certain extinct but go back and listen to The Cater II track call "Receipt"... Wayne goes in on that song talking about his woman in a respectful way. Don't use that as an excuse saying rappers are always around those type of women.
