Of course in terms of status in hip-hop Wayne is leagues ahead of Drake, but Wayne nor Kanye is in a position anymore to say that they are in control of hip-hop.

I think it's going to be tough for Drake to really step into any ranks in terms of legendary status because Drake is very limited in terms of subject matter. Drake does not have the ability to do gangster, drug, social, or growing up in the hood type of songs.

Drake can only do money, emotional and women songs and you can't go anywhere in hip-hop's ranks with only doing those types of songs even if they are lyrically impressive.
