And I swear to everything, when I leave this earth
It's gonna be on both feet, never knees in this dirt
And you can try me, fucker, but when I squeeze, it hurt
Ahh, we'll lose 2 lives: yours and mine

Give me any amount of time, don't let Miss Carter grieve
At the funeral parlor, dripping tears down my sleeve
Give me any amount of time, don't let Miss Carter grieve

This verse by Wayne >>>> Hov's whole career

              Fuck a Jay-Z.
im noot retarted i did know what he meant still doesnt prove anything

Music business hate me cause the industry ain't make me
Hustlers and boosters embrace me and the music I be making
I dumbed down for my audience to double my dollars
They criticized me for it, yet they all yell "holla"

If skills sold, truth be told, I'd probably be
              Lyrically Talib Kweli
Truthfully I wanna rhyme like Common Sense
But I did 5 mill' - I ain't been rhyming like Common since

When your cents got that much in common
And you been hustling since, your inception
Fuck perception. Go with what makes sense
Since I know what I'm up against
We as rappers must decide what's most important
And I can't help the poor if I'm one of them
So I got rich and gave back, to me that's the win/win

So next time you see the homey and his rims spin

Oh, and another great Jay verse

                  Tears on the mausoleum floor
                  Blood stains the Colosseum doors
Lies on the lips of a priest
                  Thanksgiving disguised as a feast
                  Rolling in Rolls Royce Corniche
Only the doctors got this, I’m hiding from police
Cocaine seats, all white like I got the whole thing bleached
Drug dealer chic, I’m wondering if a thug’s prayers reach
Is Pious pious cause God loves pious?
Socrates asked whose bias do y'all seek?
                  All for Plato, screech
I’m out here balling, I know y'all hear my sneaks
Jesus was a carpenter, Yeezy he laid beats
Hova flow the Holy Ghost, get the hell up out your seats, preach
"And if you come from under that water then there's fresh air
Just breathe, baby, God's got a blessing to spare, yes
I know the process is so much stress
But it's the progress that feels the best
See I came from the projects
Straight to success, and you're next
So try, they can't steal your pride, it's inside
Then find it and keep on grinding
Cause in every dark cloud there's a silver lining,
                  I know"

                  - Tie My Hands

"I stay dry when it rain, I'm tired of the fame
Got everything to gain and I'm proud of the pain
The pride and the plain, the wise and the strange
Denied by the sane; besides, we're the same
Who's guidin' the train? Who's flyin' the plane?
Who's drivin' the lane? Who dies when it bang?
Who fires when it bang? Who lies in the aim?
Two lives in the drain; who cries when they sang?
You hide but you can't, you high but you ain't
I advise you to thank (think), you'll find what you can't

Painting a picture? Here's two verses as example:

"I just tell her 'Don't expect the worse'
She say she don't wanna be stuck standing next to a nerf
I say I don't wanna be stuck standing next to a curb
She said she don't wanna, I say shut up, you pressin' my nerves
She say, who you telling shut up, then she get up
Start packing her shit up, start calling her sister
Sister doesn't pick up, the tension start to pick up
She crying, she got hiccups, I'm tellin' her to cheer up
I'm layin' down, she tell me sit up, I sit up
She push me down, I sit up
She push me down, I get up
Then I act like Imma hit her, but I'm a better nigga
She can't find a better nigga, nah"

                  - What He Does

"Mama named Cita, I love you Cita
'Member when your pussy second husband tried to beat ya'
Remember when I went into the kitchen, got the cleaver
                  He ain't give a fuck, I ain't give a fuck neither
He could see the devil, see the devil in my features
You could smell the ether, you can see Cita
You can see the Cita, see the Cita in my features
                  And she don't play neither"

                  - Playing With Fire

Good game guys I'll take my W and my award and make my speech at the Award Ceremonies tomorrow at 7pm.

                    @YM Salute

Yes, Jay-Z is better than Wayne & even Wayne himself looks up or looked up to Jay-Z at one point of his career enough to the point Wayne's career happened the way it did because of Jigga. If it weren't for Jay-Z, Weezy would've never done those freestyles over his beats or even had quoted him on any other beat. Jay-Z & Wayne is like Michael & Kobe, if you're familiar with Sports, you'd see the resemblance. Weezy is Kobe trying & doing everything he can to outdo Jordan, but Jordan was too good without trying, doesnt mean Kobe isn't good because he tries harder just like Wayne does in rap. They didn't call Kobe the Black Mamba for nothing.

But on paper, Jay-Z is way better. Too many achievements. Jay(96'/26) got in the game a grown man, Weezy(99'/18yrs) a kid. Weezy was a kid when Jigga was schooling him. Weezy wanted & considered himself at one point in his career, "The Best Rapper Alive since the Best Rapper Retired". Who was he referring to as the best rapper? Jay-Z. Don't be delusional, Wayne has had his moments but Jay-Z keeps it Consistant while Wayne is Random, Hit or Miss. Take the L, Jay-Z is in Lil Wayne's DNA. Lil Wayne is nice, Top30 easy, Top20 debating, but Jay-Z is Top10 easy. Lil Wayne's come up was nice & in is his prime, the best one in Hip-Hop ever, he can be put up against any rapper, but we're talking overall. Overall Jay-Z > Lil Wayne. Lil Wayne fucked it up for himself. He had it at one point, but jail ended his winning streak.

You act like Hov was original himself tho. It's known that he took his style from Biggie and attempted to twist it up into what we have from him today. Career wise yeah he kept it more consistent than Wayne, has a better public view (due to Wayne's somewhat bad public image from going to jail alone), but originality-wise, Wayne has it even tho he "was inspired by Hov". He's said it but Wayne had a much better way of making whatever inspired him into his own unique style that was game-changing.

One could arguably say that this is a negative, but Wayne had such an impact that he was able to change the way the whole game is. I obviously can't sit here and bullshit by saying Wayne's career > Hov's career due to his inconsistency lately, but when Wayne went hard, that nigga was nearly untouchable, even against Hov. Jay-Z knew this.
