  • 500 degreez: Promotional flop, artistic flop or overshadowed?

Why was it this album did so terrible?.... It's fairly solid lyrically...I mean it's no lights out...but I'm curious as to why this album doesn't get that much attention... Many people say because of it trying to be failure of a sequel towards juve's classic album...

Yeah, I think after the hot boys all left (especially Juvenile) everybody started saying that Cash Money just lost it, and them calling the album 500 degrees wasn't a good idea...plus there was too many pressure on Wayne as the whole record label was depending on him to put something good...

If I'm not mistaken after that album Wayne was scared he was going all the way back to the block and shit but then he did the Carter series....

Naming it 500 degreez was the biggest mistake, followed by Cash Money transition of all the splits and newcomers. Also as usual they chose the wrong singles. Also lyrically Lights Out>>>500 degreez. Although he was spitting hard on this album.

By today's standards it would be good, but of course it wasn't then
