References to Lil Wayne in movies and other rappers/singers songs?
There's this show on Hulu called Broad City, it's about these two pothead Jewish girls in NYC and pretty hilarious...
One of the girls is like the biggest Wayne fan ever. The entire pilot episode is about her doing anything to raise last minute money for a surprise Wayne concert.. And her friend just kinda goes along with it, not knowing his music (although they play one of his songs in a montage).
Then the super fan says something about "Weezy" and the more clueless one is like "Who is Weezy?" And she's like "That's Lil Wayne, I'm gonna fuck him!" It reminds me of watching The Sandlot as a kid, and how that boy had no idea all his friends were talking about Babe Ruth when they used the nicknames & he's like "My dad has a ball signed by some lady, Baby Ruthie?" Haha.
Oh, and then in a later episode of that same show, the non-fan books a table at a little hole in the wall Chinese restaurant for her friend's birthday under the name Lil Wayne.. So when the hostess calls it out, the fanatic girl is like "OMG he's here! He's so real!" And the other girl is just smiling like "No, that's us. We are Wayne." It's ridiculous but funny.
