Wasn't tryna sell him short. Its still my favorite shit this year, but I dont think 29 tracks when I think of it. I think 19. I used to say the same thing when folks brought up the numbers of the other tapes in the series.

do you think most people have just kind of moved on from wayne? I feel like wayne went to prison, and his music hasn't been on point a lot of the time so people went and found a new favorite rapper (most people on this site stan Drake now). So most people have stopped checking for wayne and probably don't even give D5 a fair listen or really care to listen to it at all cuz they don't bump wayne anymore.

I know some that want a Wayne thats more deep and/or uses deeper metaphors/punchlines

For example You Song was perfect and Still Got That Rock, Levels, Pure Colombia, etc. but it's lines like "Had a phone in jail, that's a cellphone" are what people don't want

"I'm cookin' up 2 quarters, 'bout to get rich or die trying" is extremely dope for example. shit like that

which is sad, because of the huge hate Wayne receives nowadays, it takes a toll on his music. because of all the millions on new rapper trying to be the same thing, and all the jealousy, Wayne ends up on the receiving end of all the hate. the second he makes a bad song, or a bad verse, people are quick to say he's fallen off. which is so damn stupid. they play the first 20 seconds of each of the songs off this and immediately turn it off, not even giving it a chance.
