Wayne was sworn in as an affiliate (as a Damu?) by Term aka El Jefe back in 2005 under the MOB st piru set out in LA. New Orleans. Wayne also has heavy ties with the Black Wall Street gang through N.O Capo (Marley G's brother). Before Katrina, did not have any real colour (Crips/Bloods) gang. After Katrina, New Orleans, especially the eastside (Uptown, which includes the 3rd and the 17th wards), was heavily infiltrated by bloods immediately after the storm and which is when Wayne really started repping the red flag.
I'm not from there, but I've heard from many people there that people honestly don't care about colours and are more concerned with what ward you were from, so it didn't matter what you wore back then (blue rag, red rag, soulja rag). That's a large reason for the beef between No Limit Records and Cash Money back in the day, because most of the No Limit guys were from the Caliope projects and Cash Money was from the Magnolia projects.
But Wayne is a certified sworn in blood, even though nowadays he doesn't act like it. He is surrounded by them for sure; N.O Capo, T Streets, Marley G, Gudda, Birdman, Flow (going to jail for murder) are all part of his camp, did songs with Game, Jay Rock, Compton Menace, Mitchy Slick, Tech, etc.
