bro you know how lil wayne stopped using autotune for like a while like 2011 & 2012 well how did you feel when you first heard "I Aint Nervous" in 2013 and it was all autotune with a dope as fuck beat ?

dude let's just put it this way, when he stopped using it in 11/12...i was beyond depressed. everytime i saw a song show up from him i prayed there would be autotune on it but it never happened. and when i heard i aint nervous, at first, i flipped the fuck out. i was like YESSS FINALLY!!! but then it hit me...it still doesnt sound the same as it used to. i miss the little moans and slurred words and off-key yet somehow on-key sounding notes...its still a great song dont get me wrong...but i just miss that 08-09 autotune vibe.

yeah I miss that sound just as much as you bro... I don't think we'll get THAT particular sound back, but I do like/accept his voice now like in Turn On The Lights/Typa Way/Itchin... Curtains was awesome too.

i'm glad i'm not the only one who misses it...cuz that was my fucking favorite shit to listen to. like when his voice would crack n shit and he'd do those high pitch squeals and groans/moans...idk why but that was the coolest thing ever to me. inspired me to start rappin and usin autotune. but ik what you're sayin, the autotune he uses now is just so soft it's almost like he's trying to hide the fact that he's using it rather than embracing it and making it his own like he did back in the day.

I don't only like his autotune rap but singing. Piano Man is super awesome. In My Opinion How to love was super cool too. I was so surprised when I heard that shit, I was like: "He still got it, he still got that shit!"
but yeah, it's not even close to me and my drank or piano man. They are my all time favorite Autotune songs.

wait a minute....so you're tellin me you dont like told yall?! i know what you mean about the singing thing but some of his autotune raps were better than his actual raps back in 08-09. how to love didn't have autotune on it either, detail edited waynes voice with a program called melodyne which is like autotune, but more professional and more subtle to the ear. and i'm sorry but piano man (aka around the way girl) is one of the worst things he's ever done. pretty sure there wasnt any autotune on that one either haha.
