  • a few listens to d5

the first thing that comes to mind, is that we have rapping at the pace of his thoughts again,

for too long, he was spoon feeding lines to listeners,

to the point where his flow became so diluted, it just broke apart.

but here, its sort of a return to that stream of consciousness, and hes not asking you to catch everyline,

its either keep up or you dont. i thought dont kill does the perfect job of reintroducing that feel.

of like oh fuck, wayne has bars. and hes was still chillin.

then maybe more importantly, you dont have him doing simple rehashes of songs.
    e
what wayne did best, was make a song his, by reconstructing it, he did that all over this tape,

he hasnt done that in years. so thats a plus.

think the tapes probably too long, a stronger first half, but theres some gems on the back end.

and i think whats most exciting, is that there were moments, where wayne spazzed, like he growled again.

wouldnt suprised me if he started trending upwards again, especially if the you song was the last verse he recorded.

waynes always gonna have that in the bag, if he finds theres an appeal for that, he might snap on it.

should be an interesting next few months/projects from him.

What comes easy, won't Last. What Lasts won't come easy.

yeah, thats been missing, hes been too busy pandering to audiences,

but whens hes exploring himself, and just letting rhymes go, hes still an animal.

hes gotten fat tho, but seems like hes trying to get into shape.

              looool i mean uhhh, spiritually...

he was too well fed to rap well, so even if he wanted to break out flows, it was like sluggish.

hes had a few moments over the past few years, where youd know he still has it, but nothing consistent.

but now, hes been budged, and hes bring some energy back to his raps, and working himself into form,

so if he stays w it, he could.. round himself into something serious by the time carter 5 comes out.

ah, was it really? i thougth w the whole delay being cos of the you song, thatd be the last verse.
