After watching that one morning show bit with Kidd Kidd..starting to think it wasn't him...who knows what happened...
If all of his shit never leaked he would have maintained the original Wayne image...but something tells he wanted it to leak or simply didn't care... on a completely speculative note, he realized that all of his mainstream oriented work was getting him more fame/income... so he chose the commercial route...

Well in a sense that's what I'm indirectly implying, but basically he was already interested in the money that complete mainstream music was earning him... so this was kind of the "last straw" that pushed him into a different image...It was in the sense of "I like the idea of working with big artists, but I'm going to keep doing what I do."
