I just don't think How to Love is a very good song.

That's not a controversial opinion though lol
Yea that's why I was saying How To Love did it's job.

    I'm sure it's triple platinum now =)

      Oh, thanks for enlightening me.

I know Wayne is a better rapper, but we're talking about the album and the music as a whole...and on that front Yeezus is much better than Tha Carter IV. Better production, a bolder style, more cohesive, the list goes on.

What other objective scale can you base the greatness of an album on? Reviews do mean something, as much as people try to play them down.

Perhaps only Kanye 'Stans' listen to Yeezus. But only Kanye 'Stans' listened to 808s when it came out, and people were mad at College Dropout when it was released as well.

Listen to the interlude halfway through On Sight ("He'll give us what we need. It may not be what we want.")

Yeezus will be a cornerstone album in years to come...sure, people don't like it now, but people are sheep. People are afraid of change.

Hip-hop is changing, and Kanye is the mainstream frontier of said change, just as he was ten years ago when rap became more creative.
You know punchlines and wordplay are Wayne's mark, its how he got famous, and its how he was considered as the best rapper alive back then. And President Carter is better than New Slaves lyrically (great song tho, my fav on album).

We cant talk about music as a whole when comparing Wayne with Kanye, Wayne isnt a producer, all he does is rap. Being rapping the only thing they do in common, its the only thing we can compare. I agree that Yeezus is an solider album, but this it it.

I still cant see how reviews do mean something, why they know more about music than me? They cant even relate to nothing on the album, they arent hip hop specialists mostly, they are music specialists, and they rate album mostly from its production, thats the reason why Kanye's albums are always highly acclaimed.

About Yeezus being a cornerstone in a few years, thats your opinion, and I disagree. Kanye wont change hip hop, he isnt that influential anymore, neither is Wayne.

I gotta go now, so I wont quote you back till night.

We can disagree about President Carter and New Slaves, because to me there's no comparison lol.

You make a valid point (about only being able to compare rapping ability), but Kanye has a whole other skill set Wayne doesn't have. Sure, Wayne's been a better rapper over the years (although again it seems like you're neglecting themes and imagery and symbolism), but Kanye's been a better artist -- which is more important for me.

We can forget the reviews tbh. They're no rap specialists, sure, but they are, as you said, music specialists.

But Kanye's albums are not just well-reviewed because of that: they're well reviewed because they're innovating, and fresh, and always thoughtful

He's still very influential tbh. Wayne isn't, you got that right.

Also, what do you think C4 is better than Yeezus at? You said Yeezus is solider and that's it. Are you saying C4's production beats Yeezus'?
