This was before he was worldwide famous.

And 60k then is more than 60k now.

This was also a whole different era of rap.

His fame = people paying him.

He charges everyone. The only people he would charge would probably be YM/CM because he reps them.

Aside from that it's horrible business to not charge people. All those features, are charged.

Maybe his idols, but it's the fact that if wayne's on the song he's gonna make the song popular.

So people gotta pay to get famous.

But, 9/10 people pay. It'd be dumb to be doing free verses.

Exactly, Wayne's all about money. That's why he is how he is now. If he still had the gangster image/lyrics his sales would decline and he'd lose money.

That's why music nowadays sucks, you have to be poppy to be popular because people aren't going to listen to artists like Flow & Gates tbh. They are too hardcore. I live in Louisiana, gangster rap is still on the radio (they play gates all the time lmfao) But thats because Louisiana is still a street oriented state, everyone in Louisiana makes money illegally (Sell pills, weed, etc) so people like the gangster rap.

But AFAIK the rest of the US likes fake generic music like Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, etc.

So that's why artists like Wayne, Em, & Jay-Z sound the way they do now, if they didn't they wouldn't sell.
