  • When exactly did Wayne fall off?

I've been listening to my Weezy collection for the past few days trying to pinpoint on which record did he start to decline..and I just can't seem to decide between Tha Carter 3,D3 or Rebirth. Thoughts anyone?

I feel like just after D3 he started falling off bit by bit and then when he went to jail, it all went downhill from there

naw as soon as he picked up the skateboard
cause when weezy came home from prison he recorded 'fire flame' and 'hustle hard'
both of those verses were crazy

              Ghoulish, but realistically it's jail.

Never fell off, but quality dropped off right around he started promoting YM hard (Dedication 3) and IANAHB.

His fall off as Wayne was 2008 tbh.

That's when he started focusing on mainstream appeal, don't get me wrong 2008 has a shit ton of classic Wayne, but I was a fan before that and that's when he started missing verses and changed his style up for the first time.

Compare 2007 down to 2008 up, you'll see the hits and misses skyrocket post 08.

Complete fall off is post-jail when a good verse is only rarely.

Um D4. That shit was absolute trash. Then IANAB2 solidified it. Then D5 restored hope for Tha Carter V.
