Arghh whenever it drops I hope at least one of the singles is a monster like "Lollipop" was for Tha Carter III. Even Drake couldn't sell a mill first week and he had HUGE hype. Wayne needs a big commercial single.
Maybe do something nostalgic. A single with Jay Sean might bring back good memories, make it a 5 year anniversary of this monster hit:

If I were Universal's marketing executive...
I would release two diverse radio-slaying singles on the same day (this Tuesday), allowing the singles to catch enough of a wave to be requested in all the clubs etc over the weekend and become real hits.
While these two diverse singles take over the radio and catch the attention of a diverse (key word, diverse) audience, some mad publicity would go down with interviews and other PR stunts - including the release of an amazing EP/mixtape with only unreleased songs spanning over the entirety of his career from Hot Boys to now to remind people what they are buying when they get CV.
Three weeks before release, start announcing the track list one song at a time until the album drops.
Two weeks before CV is to release, drop another single and artwork for the album at the same time and just bombard the world with more marketing and PR (pop up shops, on some real NWTS shit.) With Wayne's clothing influence with Trukfit, he could have every person who walks into a JC Penny's, Macy's, Zumiez etc. see come Carter V paraphernalia, and have a lot of people wearing clothes related to CV. They would sell like hot cakes.
With that, I bet a milli first week would be easy.Last edited by Deleted User #3; 03-25-2014, 03:55 AM.

That would be dope as shit! I really wish they would release another disc with C5, kinda like a special-deluxe disc, full of all unreleased material. then maybe another disc with the making of this album, behind the scenes, studio, etc... kinda like a 3 disc, box set collectors type thing. I would buy it! Im just saying, they need to do something special with this album, if its truly his last solo project.........................
