Ross is independent of Jay and Roc Nation now. There's no way he is jumping on a Ross joint purely out of the kindness of his heart.

Everyone pays. Regardless of name and status. rappers dont just wander around doing free verses for their mates. I am sure some do, but havent you read all the shit about how much easier it is for a rapper to get a feature from someone on their own label? They have contractual obligations! A Roc Nation artist doesnt just 'jump on' a track from an MMG artist. There's royalties to be divided, there's executives who have to get paid.
