Finally! I'm not too worried about amount of songs. I would much rather have 14 dope, perfect tracks that make an epic listening experience than some subpar tracks added in just to make it a double album (I know it's a double LP, but I mean a double CD or double volume streaming)

Also, I hope that "fake" track list from the other day was real. I like that only Believe Me is on there from the old C5 songs. Frankly, it's the only one that deserves to be on there. Some of those singles were alright, but we are talking C5 here. The stakes are higher than ever. The hype is higher than ever.

I read an article about CV where a music critic called The Free Weezy Album "absolutely horrible". I love FWA. IMO, it's his best work since C3... it reminds me of such a dope time in my life too. That summer was so memorable for me and FWA soundtracked that motherfucker! Now with D6/D6R out, the case could be made that his rapping is better on those... but as an overall album vision FWA is the best since C3.

There's a genuine sadness to FWA. I loved S4TW2 a lot, but it didn't have that same emotional core as FWA. Almost the entire FWA album was Wayne in an unusually vulnerable state. It's a side of Wayne we never really saw to that degree, that consistently. Plus he was rapping so good at that time. Only tracks that didn't drip with the blues were: Glory, I Feel Good, Im that Nigga, Thinking about you. The rest of them -- even Pull Up -- were very deep and wounded!

From what he's said, it seems like C5 might be emotional like that too. Who knows... It is a Carter album after all, so he probably feels obligated to load it with songs of all types. If it's 14 perfectly chosen tracks tho... damn.
