Once again, the name MMLP2 sold itself. If he hadn't released a single at all, or even just one he still would've done the same numbers. MMLP is a legendary album, so a sequel would sell with or without those singles.

Same with Wayne. Tha Carters are legendary, and doesn't need singles or anything to promote it. People talk about Wayne enough. They are either praising him or hating him, but they are still talking about him, and Tha Carter series

I know bruh, i mean wayne can drop c5 without any promotion or so ever and it would sell good (not as much as if promoted), it just pisses me off that he can promote it amazingly to increase the hype but doesn't. Maybe he will let's wait and see alot can happen in these days, and im guessing NBA promotion at the 28th.

ianahb2 did shockin numbers especially it being the follow up project of c4. Plus his general concern on not winning any awards last year. Maybe ym knew they cant go the same route and have accepted that they genuinely have to impress the masses with quality rather than big singles and promo. That being said this could be a no ceilings kinda ting that knocks the door on a lot of heads and reminds them that wayne can still fuckin snap. It would be perfect, especially considering how weak everythings been this year hip hop whise. He can release two singles after the album drops with videos with a gap and chart.

True. Look at mmlp2 promotion, first released survival as a theme song for call of duty which every american teenager plays all day. Then followed berzerk which was the radio hit single and was playing all the time on the radio. Then he released the monster with the big pop feature 'rihanna' which had everyone rushing to listen to the song and also played on radio alot. Finally 'rap god' which was the 6 mins lyrical single which targetted the raw hip hop fans and got them excited for the album and also got massive radio plays. All singles were followed by a music video and all of them scored more than 100m views (im not sure). It did 760k first week afterall. A milli is very hard to hit these days tho. This is the kind of promotion C5 needed.

Lil wayne is not just a rapstar . Hes a superstar. He has multiple fanbases . Whenever he does something. Its buzzing whether it receives pos or neg views . His albums sells more than these rappers idk we ever compare him to any new rapper at all. Its most def gon sell its self. And if hes serious about sayin he hasnt worked so hard on a project in his lifein the mtv interview.... Thats the best promo ever for me. He has too many fans not to sell a mill . If it aint first week. It damn sure will be the 2nd.
