I always look at it like if they was altogether and a beat was playing, who could go in there a just go in there a lay a hot 16 asap on spot for a song with no hook . . . . I think only pac, jay & em can do that . . . . . I think wayne biggie and nas would need time to think of something . . . and if you asked for a freestyle off top biggie, em, jay & nas would come up with some nice shit but wayne and pac wouldn't . . . .idk why pac wasn't all that with a freestyle but could go in the both and knock shit out with easy

i think thats a pretty.. idk.. base approach.. to understanding them and their ability as artist tho..

also interesting, cos the one w the most experience doing music without a hook, is definitely, far and away wayne.


which is part of why i give him the nod, on rapping ability. he goes on straight raps for 4 minutes longer than anybody, sometimes even his hooks are bars. like on dont kill and itching.
