the thing is, lil wayne's popularity and amount of people that like him are decreasing.
on the other hand, Young thug is becoming as a rookie the face of this generation's rap. His popularity went from a nobody to a well known rapper even in europe. There is a whole market opening for him now. and Bird is trying to get money from that. ANd he does well.
From lil waynes contract he gotta get his 150 million investing money back though. and right now it doesnt seem like hes gonna get it back with C5.

No one is gonna recoup $150m off a single album, or even three albums.. Merchandising, tours, that's where they make their money back

Wayne's singles ain't selling...therefore the album won't sell (we all knew if the album was released in dec 9, shit would hit 100k first week max lol)

He wanted to delay the album more so that they get more promo for it...maybe release a mixtape (hint the new project), maybe release a better single...

Possibly. But that's not Wayne's fault. That's birdman and Tez fault because they haven't supported c5 properly at all. If he were waiting for hype he should've released it just before or just after drake vs Wayne tour. That made headlines and was crazy popular, so it kind of ruins that theory IMO

When they have footage and actual sources, it's reliable.
