May 23rd was when Wayne/Cash Money/Universal came to an agreement. June 23rd was when Wayne said he talked with Universal about the release date. I bet during the month, he revisited the original C5, created the final tracklisting, maybe adding a few more recent songs to it, fixed some dates lyrics, paid the producers & features for the work that made the final cut, established a proper roll out plan, then went to universal confirming it was done & ready to be released.
I suspect a mostly original 2014 c5, 20/25 tracks if one long album, 30 if a double album, no songs released from 2014 will be on it, 1 single released around July 4th, then fully released July 20th. Expect Wayne to go on a stadium tour to end the year.
Theyre gonna let Drake & Nicki both get their shine. July 20th seems like a perfect window to drop it without drawing away attention from either one of them. I feel late August/September is just too far away, we have waited long enough.

If I was them I’d pick either July 20th or September 21st for the release date.
July 20th would be right in the middle of Drake and Nicki’s albums.
September 21st is the last official Friday of summer. Great way to end out “Mula Summer”.
But those dates make too much sense and nothing these dudes do make any sense
