Start this shit off right was not “his 2014 flow” wtf are you talking about? That’s his C1-2 flow which we sometimes heard since then, only when it suited the songs. Frustrating sometimes yes. Because that’s my favorite Wayne rapping style and I always want more of it.
Also, the lyrics of STSOR were very different and not even close to this good in 2014. Clearly he remade it.
Don’t get me wrong he sounded very good at times in 2014 — especially after the shit show of 2013 — like Dusse, believe me, etc....... but if ppl are talking about Grinding, Krazy, Start a fire, and Gotti — y’all can keep that C5. Those were decent but nowhere near as skillful and dope as this. His rapping is far better here. D6 is clearly a reference point and was the beginning of the style that would define C5. Nothing wrong with that.
Also, he got rid of most of the cringeworthy dick and pussy childish shit. He’s def on point here.
Would I like an album full of STSOR’s? Of course. But I have to accept that it’s no longer 2006. So be it. If he’s gonna rap modern and fast at least he’s saying sick shit again.
