  • Oh yeah I dont think he was dissing Drake. I just saw people saying that and couldn’t understand why.

    I think the only reason he wasnt in CV was because of him still being on Cash Money. CM has been silent af around CV, i know he aint their artist anymore but he built them they could atleast make 1 post about the man.

            WHAT yall think the metacritic score will be? C5 had a 88 and for some reason dropped to 84 in like 2011, c2 i believe had a 81, c1 i think was like 75, c4 was 61 and ianahb1 had a 67 and ianahb2 had a 51, I could see anywhere from 75-85, SOME IDIOT gave him a 3 out of 5 cuz he thought it was misogynistic -_-

              • 500k still huge.
                outselling all em, ye, hov...
                no singles and all, announcement 2 days before the release, no commercial rap and all.
                the fact that only drake is in front doesn’t mean anything. Anything drake does is immense cause it’s more than just hiphop fans that’s listening. Plus the beef and all...
                c5 sold itself.
                really curious to see if 500k is realistic.

                  Doesnt work this way..they talking bout the sales for the whole week till next friday..but sometimes they evaluate too low..he could still do 550-580k..or waynes camp pulls a nicky and they but believe me as a bonus and voila;600k if not more..a video could help boost the sales too

                  These are good numbers though..i remember a few years ago i thought he would do around 300k..if he goes gold the first week they can call it a success..650k plus and it would be a huge success

                    Adding believe me would literally do maybe plus 100 (not 100k I rlly mean 100) for the first week....

                        • Yo guys read the rolling stones article someone posted pages ago..its a very interesting read..
                          Also hittas was made in the same session as gotti, they sampled boosie thats why he's creditet..they also picked from roughly 200songs for C5 and mack maine played an important role at picking the songs

                          - - - Updated - - -

                          On the chest-thumping “Hittas,” Lil Wayne changed the structure of the beat and inserted a sample of the rapper Boosie. “Usually when you send a beat to Wayne, he’ll ask for the track-outs, and the beat will sound completely different from what you sent him,” says Jayones, who produced “Hittas” in the same session as “Gotti,” released by Lil Wayne in 2014. When*Tha Carter V*came out, Jayones’ beat was re-worked. “[Wayne] switched the hook with the verse, and he added that sample, which caught me off-guard. It works.”

                          By necessity, the lengthy gestation period for this album meant that Wayne and his associates kept having to update old music so that it sounded modern — in hip-hop, fashionable sounds come and go rapidly. “A lot of times it’s just [a matter of] changing kicks and snares to make sure it’s not 2012, it’s 2018,” says Ben Billions, who co-produced three songs on*Tha Carter V.One of his songs, “Open Letter,” was originally intended for the 2014 version of the album. So were “Hittas,” “Famous,” “Mona Lisa” and “Let It All Work Out.”
                          And also;

                          And now that*Tha Carter V*has a fifth installment, Dre is wondering if Wayne will look to start another album series — possibly involving*Rebirth, the 2010 album which found the rapper embracing rock. “Next time I see Wayne, besides giving him a big hug and thanking him for including me, maybe I’ll slide him some of these rock tracks,” Dre says. “Maybe we can get aRebirth 2.”

                          Lol
