Also hittas was made in the same session as gotti, they sampled boosie thats why he's creditet..they also picked from roughly 200songs for C5 and mack maine played an important role at picking the songs

On the chest-thumping “Hittas,” Lil Wayne changed the structure of the beat and inserted a sample of the rapper Boosie. “Usually when you send a beat to Wayne, he’ll ask for the track-outs, and the beat will sound completely different from what you sent him,” says Jayones, who produced “Hittas” in the same session as “Gotti,” released by Lil Wayne in 2014. When*Tha Carter V*came out, Jayones’ beat was re-worked. “[Wayne] switched the hook with the verse, and he added that sample, which caught me off-guard. It works.”

By necessity, the lengthy gestation period for this album meant that Wayne and his associates kept having to update old music so that it sounded modern — in hip-hop, fashionable sounds come and go rapidly. “A lot of times it’s just [a matter of] changing kicks and snares to make sure it’s not 2012, it’s 2018,” says Ben Billions, who co-produced three songs on*Tha Carter V.One of his songs, “Open Letter,” was originally intended for the 2014 version of the album. So were “Hittas,” “Famous,” “Mona Lisa” and “Let It All Work Out.”
    And also;

And now that*Tha Carter V*has a fifth installment, Dre is wondering if Wayne will look to start another album series — possibly involving*Rebirth, the 2010 album which found the rapper embracing rock. “Next time I see Wayne, besides giving him a big hug and thanking him for including me, maybe I’ll slide him some of these rock tracks,” Dre says. “Maybe we can get aRebirth 2.”

    Lol
I think Wayne needs to give the series a rest at this point lol using series names for new albums/mixtapes only creates certain expectations around those projects and can take away from the quality itself. Create new original project names Weezy. But I'll never complain getting more music from Wayne lol

Dope New Gospel is really emerging as one of my favorites. Such a great, upbeat vibe from it

streaming C5 on mute? i’ve been streaming volume up ever since it came out.

drakes post of C5 got over a million likes, imagine how much that just sparked up album sales.

No one actually wants rebirth 2.....

And believe me would not help first week sales because anything streamed prior to album release date only helps total sales...

TBH it would probably help Wayne if he put out a song tomorrow with Post Malone or Drake to boost sales or even better with both then maybe he could beat Drakes first week sales

It would boost the sales..just a remix with both of them, just chill and believe me as bonus songs and there you go..
Im glad they released it the way they did, they thinking long term here..if they wanted huge first week numbers they just could have released a video of mona lisa, let it fly or dont cry a month ago and he would have done drake numbers..
Like i said i think they going long term saleswise,im pretty sure dont cry or mona lisa will have a video plus uproar..

Then the interview, bet awards plus the album gets decent reviews which will all help with the sales

Thats not how first week sales work... sales and streams for singles released prior to the album do not count until the album is released!

                      • oh man, Tupac's mother won in justice the rights to her unreleased songs, imagine if this had happened earlier and Wayne put a verse of it on the C5

                        Comment

                        • Tbh i think the numbers are fine no need for anything extra because then it seems like thats what you care about. Obv you want good sales but if thats all they cared about we would have way more features, they would have dropped a single or 3, tracklost would have dropped early (kendrivk and travis alone would peak mad interest) etc.

Looks lame to chase numbers especially as a legend. He will be gold by week two easy thats a feat on its own.
