With all hating aside this forum is to express your thoughts good or bad! You have been here for a min.. for someone who participates in commenting pretty regularly I’m just confused how you can be a long time wayne fan and not fuck with one song ? It’s almost impossible.. if you really were a long time fan it just doesn’t seem possible that you hate an album so much??? I know a lot of older wayne heads don’t mess with his newer shit but I consider myself an older wayne at 35 and what I’ve done as a huge Wayne fan was adapted to host style change... these songs are powerful — I’m sorry I just don’t get how you can not like one song it’s buzarre — but I respect your thoughts

here's the thing. i have tried so hard to explain my dislike for wayne's most recent music (nc2/d6/d6r/c5) & no one understands because they don't understand autotune. so it's extremely difficult for me to get my point across. i've been making my music here & there since 08 (all started cuz wayne of course) & the reason i started was because of how much i LOVED how he (used to) use autotune. so i taught myself. he was an EXPERT with it. he was in the right key all the time, he used to do that dope squeaky/raspy moan that was SO unique & made autotune sound so fucking different, especially on rebirth with songs like paradice/i'll die for you. THAT is the autotune wayne i expect. when i comment on here & say he's lost touch with it (mainly because the autotune itself is off-key), no one knows what i mean. it's very hard for me as a LONG time wayne fan to hear his disappointing use of autotune now & still be able to fuck with it when he was once so good at it. everyone claims his new shit is deep & meaningful which i TOTALLY understand & do agree with, but his voice & poor use of autotune completely ruin the ability for me to listen any further into it. i'm not trying to be a hater, i just miss how he used to sound.

Not necessarily... Since Wayne went the nontraditional “no sinlges” route radio is probably only playing the most listened to/requested from the album for now. I’m sure those will both get their own video and promo but I see Wayne/YM going with something a little more radio friendly in the long run to hit a national audience. I still have yet to hear C5 on the radio.

I’ve been here since 14 but mostly read all the thoughts n never really responded — sorry I missed yours and made you write such a long paragraph lol I’d lie to say hopefully you can start liking his music again but not sure the auto tune going away- 😔

i felt you brother , i'm not on the same page as you , but i feel you. I'm not a fan of rebirth though , but that's not the point. That 07-08 autotune use is goat. I was also looking for it for a long time , but fuck it , i still can feel tha man. Wish I could help you see Wayne's growth , or Wayne's new skills with AUTOTUNE... but I'm afraid I lack the knowledge and I'm not the greatest Weezy examinator and researcher to fill you in...Thank you for sharing your story though , one of the best reads fam. see this is the response i appreciate the most. because now you get where i'm coming from. dude i was so obsessed with wayne in highschool kids would come up to me and be like dude whenever anyone brings up wayne or we hear any of his songs you're the first person we all think of. like you dont understand. he was the only artist on my iphone, the only cd's in my car, the only music i would ALLOW my friends to play around me lmfao like i was addicted. so when people get all butthurt that i'm not feeling his new shit i just have to sit back and laugh because i know how much of a fucking stan i was & to me that's all that matters. but forreal thank you for not being a dick.
