Actually they are...esp compared to the 2000 plus songs and features he had before he stopped.. Further..his music prior to sipping sucked too..

what if he just lost his hunger and motivation to make those songs? he probably realized that he can do the same money with just dropping normal stuff. i'm not saying its not cause of the syrup i'm just saying its not 100%sure.

why do you think syrup makes his music good tho?

Wayne started sipping around 1997-2000 and been on it since then, in 2006 after his divorce he got heavier on the lean, in 2008 his music started noticeably declining when he was heavy on the syrup, he supposedly quit syrup in 2009 and his music kept declining.

post prison 2011 he might have started using codeine pills (main ingredient in syrup) while his music kept getting worse, in 2013 he claimed he quit codeine pills after his serious seizures and dropped an improved project.

I think it's all about motivation, drugs can be factors but it's mainly motivation

if he didn't care he would have released the album he recorded prior to going into jail.. But no.. He wanted to "rerecord" it.
