I don't make a lot of posts, I mainly just look at the news and what you guys are saying. Recently, back when there was some hype for a C5 single and those Wayne interviews I saw a lot of comments and threads about Tez picking songs. Mainly like "tez better not fuck this up" "Tez picks the shittiest songs" etc. Mostly negative.
But my theory has to do not with Tez but who controls Tez. Idk names or anything but we all know the music industry is pretty controlled. They decide who to promote and what not and they usually pick artists who promote drugs, sex, violence, gangs etc. It's really just a fact. So my question is really, do you think Tez has as much impact on picking songs as you think? I personally think he gets pressured from the higher ups in Universal. Not saying Tez doesn't have input but these "higher ups" and billionaire executives from Universal want numbers bcuz that's money which then would pressure Tez to pick radio-ish songs and shit.
Just a theory on the song selection process for not only Wayne and C5, but pretty much all artists signed to a major label. Once an artist signs the contract ("sells their soul") they basically have no rights and are not part of the decision making about their image or promotion. Let me know what your opinion is!!
