drakes verse makes it sound like carter 5.. like this was supposed to be the post jail album.

carter 4.. was like some shit to toss out.. do numbers..

think the songs on there were really formula...


believe me has a creative leap that we didnt have on carter 4...

the structure, the tone, the density of his writing, the snap on his writing..

its like okay, nowww we have the guy thats been caged up, and is finally free again..


two things i notice the most tho..

is that tone.. its no games being played on the first single.. sure hes gotta have something softer eventually,

but right now, if the single is any indication.. the expectation for carter five has gotta be, that its gonna be hard.

President Carter, Blunt Blowin, Novacane, Mirror, 6 Foot 7 Foot, She Will, Its Good, I Like The View, I love those songs. C4 is slept on, but it has way to much features on it tho

they were all made to appeal to people who wanna hear a "real" record.

carter 4 was by farrr his most contrived effort, none of the spontaneous raw energy of his best music.
