i can't remember anymore, was 2009 the year all those dope c4/rebirth tracks leaked? i'm talkin no quitter, blow my mind, told yall, yeah, new orleans maniac, fix my hat, im not a human being (original), etc..... if those ones hadn't leaked and tez had bundled them bitches up and put it out as C4 it would've been fire. prob would've been the best wayne album ever IMO. i feel like that was the REAL progression, the natural next step after C3. you listen to those tracks and you can hear how he was literally changing the face of rap and pop music everyday.
and that voice... he never had that voice again before or after that time. it was the sound of him absolutely peaking on fame (and lean lol). he was more confident than he'd ever been and he could do NO WRONG. he knew he was the best rapper in the world and he was just having fun by that point... but SICK fun. some of those songs he sounds like he could rip through the speakers, like he couldn't be contained. animal style

2009/2010 yea
the c4 sessions > the c4 album
the c3 sessions > the c3 album
it would of been amazing for wayne if they didn't leak

agree 100%
c4 i don't give a fuck about, but i would actually miss c3 if it didn't exist. sure, it has some goofy moments on it, but there are some absolute classics on there and overall it's one of my favorite albums ever - the first 6 tracks alone are just fire
