structurally, krazy isnt all that different from a milli. if anything.. what is unorthodox for 98 percent of rappers is commonplace for wayne. he frequently raps on songs without hoooks or loose bridges, with irregular verse lengths.

milli is great because he made it work on the radio, youre right he struck gold, but i think it was more of good timing than anything, it was like the mixtape weezy, and the album weezy, finally converged in the right way that struck a cord with everyone.

dont think that it make that record stronger musically than some of his other work tho, that a revisionist sort of view on it, i think.

i dont thnk krazy is top wayne record or anything, really think the beat is kind of corny, not a fan of anything that too clearlly panders too an idea. in this case, the concept of "krazy" but his raps were on point,

they were delivered with pace and energy, he had snap on his lines, there wasnt the cornyness of the dedication4/carter4 rhymes.. he was consistently streaming.. original perspectives.. through his lines,

also had that thing, where he cant leave a beat alone, coming back to the same beat with 4 verses, with just about each verse being better than the last, is pretty hard to do.

not sure what youre expecting from wayne.. but as an oldd old oldd wayne fan.. im finding all his recent work really impressive, even more so with how late it is in his career..

only thing im sort of.. idk reserved with.. is.. the overall.. energy of his music. it does seem to be taking a darker turn.. which is great for songs like believe me.. but can get kind of.. grating u said.. when it sort of everywhere in his music right now.

wouldnt mind hearing some lighter songs from him like dont kill or you song.. something little more musicy,

i swear OP is a sook.

Krazy is amazing and was well made especially for this current Weezy, his flow is on point he explored other subjects (as promised) and there was no wack, weird or awkward lines and everything went perfect.
            Track is also a BANGERRRRR

if this still doesn't suffice you need to find a new rapper to listen to because this is as good as its getting.

Anywayyyyy, I always expect when I write these chains that I'll get mostly purist old school fans agreeing with me. Yet it's mostly new school fanboys. Why is it so bad to hold wayne to a higher standard? Why do I gotta be the public enemy cos I say what half y'all are secretly wondering when u hear wayne toss off some wowzers style BS and call it C5.

Say what u want about me, but u can never say I ain't real wit my wayne.

And I'm still waiting for any of y'all to tell me: which of u puts on krazy or moment over some DD3 or C2/C3 to win over new wayne fans?
I've been a fan of Wayne since i was 9 years old and really 2012-2013 were god awful years for music period. But especially for Lil Wayne now he made promises and is keeping them and has made a range of solid music and a great mixtape "Dedication 5" and you still want to whine? i mean damn.

Bro I just don't think d5 was a good mixtape. It was too long with too many guests and the lyrics were usually corny as fuck. I'm just not into new wayne that much. Can't help it.

At least some true old school wayne heads are agreeing with me now. Nice to see I ain't all alone out here. Btw- what the fuck is a sook?? Lol

i don't know why people complain about a project being 'too long' isn't that we all want? more music but yeah guest verses are annoying as f.

D5 is fire and so is everything coming out of the C5 Season.

                and google it.

So you tellin' me "Started" isn't vintage Wayne from beginning to end? :-\ Bruh. Reevaluate everything you concluded to be contrived by him on that mixtape. Yes, he ruined a great chance to make a classic song out of beats like "Itchin'". But there were shining moments of hungry Wayne. And "Started" is definitely a standout.

Started is def one of the better songs, but it's still not exactly vintage wayne. It's close, but not quite. Cream and you song are vintage wayne. Those could've been from 2007-8 and I wouldn't question it. Fuckin problems is very strong lyrically as well. Best of D5:
                    Cream
                    You song
                    Fuckin problems
                    Started
                    Still got that rock
                    Levels

I wish he had exercised a little more quality control with that tape. He should've made it concise and cut out a lot of those guests. Some tracks were just straight embarrassments too, like new slaves. 2007 wayne could've demolished that best.
