chainz was rapping way before that and actually had a little round of applause along with dollar boy when they had their group Playaz Circle , in 2006-2007. With a little help from his friend Wayne , they got a little hit - Duffle-bag boy. They were signed in Ludacris' label i think , but he played them and they never made it big. Chainz was also known as Titty-Boy back then. Nevermind , my point is that he used to rap way before he blew up in 2011-2012 , i dont have any idea what you guys were talking about , but in case you don't know 2 Chainz's story , i think i helped you a bit. Also , his story is so motivational , like the guy had failed two times making it big (i didn't mention the first time back in 99 when he was shot or something). He's 37 and made it big when he was 35. Respect.
