well put, even if it is a bit of a generalization. i thought d5 had worse lyrics than d4 on some songs. d4 was so insane that a few clunkers could slip by undetected (like the old days). d5 was a tough one for me. i thought it was too long, too many features and too little energy... but it did have some of his best post-prison songs, which made me very conflicted!

this new one is THE BEST he has been since NC, maybe even before that. MAYBE. he still got that wired jumpy flow, but at least he's learned to wield it properly now. he finally makes it work for him, like he's been doing on those c5 season singles and features.

for the first time since 2009 it's safe to say he's back. this is actually shit i'm not embarrassed to show people. lol. that's test #1...
and test #2 is... play it back to back with some vintage era stuff and see if sounds ridiculous lyrically. this just doesn't..
