'The Free Weezy Album' Anticipation Thread.

he's not even top 10 for most people outside of this website. he couldve been top 10. he couldve been on the Kanye/Jay/Eminem level.




he is struggling for relevance right now. you can delude yourself, but before the birdman beef no one outside of his fans was really checking on Carter 5. His quality control is so weak. Rebirth, IANAHB and IANAHB2 should never have come out, at no point. Kanye would never have released those records. Jay-Z wouldnt have. Hell even Drake wouldnt do that.

Think about this. If you put together all of Wayne's best tracks over his entire career, and just released say, 5 albums of his absolute best music, and maybe 5 mixtapes, he would have the best 10-project discography in hip hop, except for maybe Jay-Z. He would be one of the all time greatest, without a single doubt. He shouldve kept all those C3 sessions. He couldve drip-fed us classic material whilst he was in jail and he would never have had to make IANAHB 1 or 2.

IANAHB is platinum, Rebirth sold 700k, IANAHB2 is gold, even his bad projects sell more than most rappers.

He proved himself as one of the greatest of all time, he was the greatest rapper alive for 4/5 years, he washed every rapper he was on a song with, he is just releasing music now because he loves it, he has nothing left to prove.

And tbh, he will be the best rapper alive again when he releases his next album.
