that's true. but carter 5 is also his biggest album eve.r, it makes sense for him to orchestrate a major stunt leading up to it, especially involving himself losing his occupa and status. i dont think hes doing pr stunts to generate buzz, but to inject as much mockery as possible into his final album. it fits perfectly within the themes of the series at this point. and how each installment has gotten more and more ridiculous as they went up. carter 1 breakout from hotboys his serious as fuck carter 2 a little bit of behind the scenes drama with mannie and kid then drops the album carter 3 whole album leaks before it comes out he starts over then drops the album carter 4 drops a whole mxtape before the album delays the album then drops the album carter 5 drops a whole mixtape because of the album delays the album then cancels the album is this a parody of how bizarre album sequels become by their end?? or is it because he wants to be sure the mega-narrative hes been constructing over the course of his albums would be properly appreciated before he left? explain it how you choose, but it was indoctrinated and it was deliberate.
