Idk if this is in the right section, but it's Wayne related and I wanted to share my experience with other Weezy fans.
So I apparently suffer from Severe Depression, and at the time of this story I was with a girl that...pretty much changed my view on life, I was a whole different and better man with her. We had the best time. One of our constant fights, however, was about me spending too much time Recording songs, but I only recorded so much because it was therapeutic for me, and my therapist suggest I do this in hard times. I explained this constantly to her and she was okay for a minute since it helped me, but I guess she couldn't take it anymore and she ended up breaking up with me for it. I was torn to pieces, the feeling was like someone shot my heart. So I decided one day to go to this overpass and just end it all that night, but while I was walking there, I was listening to Lil Wayne's song "Something You Forgot", but I never understood the lyrics til that walk I took that night to the overpass. The song taught me that I should realize that I fucked up, but to just learn from it all and keep going on in life. Most importantly, the song taught me that you should never hurt yourself over situations like this, to take the pain and use it to become a stronger person than I was at the time. Today makes it two years since that night and I haven't attempted suicide or even had a dark thought since.
I posted this story to show people that Lil Wayne isn't just some dumbass street rapper, hes saving lives with his music. Don't take his messages for granted.
I hope you guys liked this story, hope I didn't waste anyone's time lol.
"See this is just a nightmare, so I blink twice
Open up my eyes hopin' she'd be in my sight
I remember the time, I wish I could bring it back
What she mean to me, is what I mean to rap..."
Crazy because in almost EVERY song he has there is a saying or quote that can be used for good but gets overlooked because he flows pass them so effortlessly. I find myself replaying all his songs and end up finding amazing quotes that I use in life to keep me pushing.
