Wayne's versatility, man. He's just too good. Ain't shit wack about Rebirth besides the idea of him doing rock music as a gangsta rapper.

Lil Wayne, Drake, Chance the Rapper, Skooly, Rich Homie Quan, 2 Chainz.

Rebirth wayne was dope but i fee it was a opportunity that got lost like i wish he got
more deeper then he did songs like 'lethal injection' are cool and all but it felt like he was saying random ass politca/conspiracy stuff with little to no structure

idgaf about his political talk shit, but his Rebirth phase was fuckin' dope because it allowed him to feel like he could get personal on a level that differs from what he did/does in his raps. I feel like American Star is one of his best songs he's ever done and it's not necessarily political, but it's real.

It's like after Rebirth, which I'm sure was done before NC, he just stopped being personal altogether. Everyone praised him for random ass overrated NC because he, "got back to rapping," and he just ran with that until last year when he realized that shit wasn't flying anymore. It's weird as fuck. It's like he just flipped a goddamn switch, and NOBODY even seems to notice because of how long he's gone without that personal aspect. They just aren't really paying attention and it's sad because he's too fuckin' good.
