I'm sorry to say, but I'm going to have to go with the general consensus on the cover art. Good thing it's never an indication of the finished product's actual quality. I just hope the music is better than that atrocity. You could have done better, my dude. I apologize for inconveniently sharing popular opinion. It's something I usually try to squander away from and remain avert to the very existence of its possibility. OllyCarterz
I think the idea of the cover is dope, I like how the No Ceilings 2 pops. It really grabs you. I think it would have been a better choice to go with pics of him performing like the OG cover instead of a bunch of head shots, and while I get the premise of adding something more to fill out what may have been empty space, it does look like a random chin at the top. You can't really see much else going on besides the chin. I also hate that stock pic of him, but I mean, you work with what you have, and it's current, so why not.
I don't think it's bad, it just could be better.
Lil Wayne, Drake, Chance the Rapper, Skooly, Rich Homie Quan, 2 Chainz.
definitely, kanyes a cultural icon. even if people are divided on their opinions about his music, everyone is checking it; and expecting to find something current, and forward moving about his projects.
a kanye release is a major point on the map on music, people are waiting to see if swish can top TPAB, and how it compares to yeezus and the rest of his catalog. the public approaches kanye projects as major art contributions to not just the genre, but music in general.
lol. they definitely arent doing that for wayne. a wayne release is another blip on the radar, a bigger blip sure. but one that will likely come and go..
im not sure what itll take for wayne to regain that kind of attention, or if its something thats entirely passed him up, but i dont think releasing freestyle mixtapes is gonna be what does it for him.
i could be wrong tho, nc2 might just break his dry spell (publicly, not form. his forms been nearly impeccable since 2013).
Real talk but you'll get no love with that opinion on here. I was surprised to see No Ceilings 2 trending on Twitter for a few hours when it was announced. There will always be people checking for a Wayne release, but compared to Kanye it's a blip. Kendrick, Kanye, Drake, Jay, Em probably the biggest fish right now, anything they put out usually comes with some hype, although Eminem is diluting his brand a bit with that soundtrack. Maybe throw Future and Nicki in to that list.
Wayne has fallen in to the second tier. People cared about S4TW2 and FWA for a few days but they fell off the radar quickly.

Cosign. The artwork isn't good. Wayne is hit and miss with artwork. I feel the Dedication series is dope, IANAHB2 was dope but IANAHB was trash. FWA was just pixelated flames. Might've been a nice single cover for Glory but not good for an entire project.

And C5 cover? Damn...
Future and Nicki bigger than Wayne? Nah. And tbh EVERYTHING falls of the radar quickly these days. It's just the age we live in now. I've never heard ANYONE outside of the internet talk about TPAB, and I didn't see it as a topic too long after it dropped online either. I haven't seen anyone talk about Em at all. Even Compton is a dead topic and supposedly it's so great and everyone was waiting on it. Same with DS2, WATTBA, the only thing I recall buzzing for a good while after it's release was IYRTITL, and I'm not even sure why.
We don't know where tf Wayne is, but I can agree he's no artist like Kanye, and he's not in "do no wrong" favor like Drake at the moment, but to just count him out and put him under everyone is crazy.
He's just a bit outdated in his methods right now, from his craft to his marketing. And this CM situation is only holding him back.

These are personal faults that he can fix. Refresh yourself, Mr. Carter. You need it. Please release a full mixtape without anyone else's beats so people can respect the artistic integrity of some of your material, for once.

i don't think anyone on here is feeling the cover homey.
