what do he mean with this ?

I might be reaching but I always thought this was a "you are what you eat" type line. so, Wayne is an equivalent to spiders because people like them both and spiders eat flies which eat shit. So if Wayne=spiders; and spiders are the shit (from moving down the food chain) Wayne=the shit...?
