Rebirth rly didnt have a hit single.
Along with the health problems and couple of hit singles ianahb2 did that 230? something. It rly didnt get any positive reviews from the masses or from the critics. Then he fucked around dropper d5. 2014 young money dropped of course loyal blew up but one verse wont guarantee sales. They started to create hype for c5, he had to have drake on his single and even on his tour to gain attention/hype. Basicly wayne aint poppin like he used to, birdman knew that and didnt drop his album, the financial bs is whole other thing but u get the point.

drake vs wayne tour was drake's idea.

believe was a better record than start a fire simple. and they released grindin the day their tour started.

wayne had just came off an arena tour before that

prom queen hit no.15 on billboard top 100

wayne aint the hottest n more but he aint dead out here

IANAHB2 got mixed reviews, saying it didn't get any positive reviews isn't accurate at all. Also, no one sells albums like they used to these days. Doesn't mean the artist fell off the radar, just the current climate of the industry.

C5 hype wasn't where it needed to be with the amount of $ that was about to be owed to Lil Wayne. It was a bad busisness situation and Wayne is suffering form it right now but Birdman will be paying. Retribution is coming belee dat. U heard the DJ Drama interview. A whole lot of everything coming after this settlement.

Dont tell me you compare YM artists like hood to wayne when it comes to sales, come on...
And dont act like c5 would have sold badly if they dropped it after the singles and after the tour
Of course the singles didnt chart well but its still wayne and the singles got released on itunes like months after the original release date, everyone already downloaded them somewhere else.
And why do you say birdman might have lost money if he released it, what do you expect it to sell? 50k? Lmfao dont be stupid
Birdman aint god, he doesnt know how much an album sells. If he let wayne release albums like ianahb2 you can already tell that he doesnt.
Push backs are what CM always does, they did it with nearly every album they released and it works, push backs get headlines in the media so more people know about it. There aint no dofference between these push backs and the push backs that were back when c4 dropped. Wayne just was tired of it, thats why he wants to leave CM
Birdman 'aint god'...but he got professional accountants and publicists and can predict how much an album would sell..just like how we always get prediction of sales before albums are even released..

Tez in tha carter documentary was already aware that C3 was going to sell 800k to a million first week before it was released...so yeah, they do know

Birdman probably is aware that C5 being released now (or even after INAHB2) it wasnt going to make him the profit that he wants....obviously years ago when C3 was selling like hot pockets, Wayne and Birdman probably where like 'we'll promote C5 as the last carter album and go diamond with that mutha fucka we are rich for life'...not realizing today it would not sell gold first week lol..

lets just keep it honest...Wayne has fallen deep, and until he starts taking his career seriously, C5 isnt going to be released any time from now...we might wait 5 years with mixtapes and half-ass albums released until we get a C5 released in Tidal and forgetten about the next month

it all depends on Wayne, Stunna just wants to make the money..

agree with this. wayne just needs to be better. but billboard had projections that c5 would do 500,000 first week

Looks like hes leaving cm shortly, cause otherwise he would say cash money after young money i think

It isnt like wayne is gonna promote it, promo teams do that. wouldnt matter if he was out or in jail.
