Sweeeeeeeeet. I'll take anything you're willing to share haha.
This is the one I found, still in the process of DLing so I can't run a spec yet.

Speaking of Russian sites, I downloaded a CDr copy of No Ceilings. The one with the slightly different cover art. This one:

It sounds pretty great, I think it's an upscale but I'm not 100% sure.

If you remove the label "flac" then it does.

Every good musician/producer creates lossless music

              Probably a lossy release.

Back then people seemed to care ALOT less about lossless

I havent made any real effort to track down earlier work

I prefer the production of the later years.

That would be dope! I mean, it's fairly easy for me to check if they're legit or not. I know this copy of S4TW2 isn't true lossless because no lossless public release ever existed for this album, be it CD, HiFi DL, etc.

I guess what I'm asking is, are you saying that you own a copy of S4TW2 that is sourced from a legitimate lossless source? Like, if you took a spec analysis and compared it to the version that I just downloaded, are you confident there would be a difference? I'm not totally convinced that a truly lossless version of this mixtape exists, even if the copy you got was from a reputable site w/ high standards like What.CD or another private tracker. I am intrigued though.

My current copy of S4TW2 most songs cut off at around 16 kHz with certain parts extending up towards 22. When I look at legit flac, it's full bars all the way across, easily around 22 and above. (If I'm wrong about any part of this, correct me. All my research has been done on my own and I fully admit I don't have a nearly complete knowledge about this.)

Lemme just get clarification on something as well. Every Lil Wayne album has had a CD except FWA, the Tidal exclusive. Lossless quality is available to the public for all those. Am I correct in saying every single mixtape Tune has done was only released (to the public) in mp3? All mixtape CDs in circulation are bootlegs, correct?

I was just asking this same question in the downloads section, no answer yet

Depends on the mixtape. Alot of official ones have been released as lossy mp3.

And with most stream sites offering a high quality version of files you could probably find some mixtapes as lossless.

Bad quality rips usually have a cut off in the spec so if your seeing a obvious cut off point then you dont have a lossless

I'm confused. if this is a FLAC of what was downloaded off datpiff etc, why wouldn't someone just download it from one of those sites? (I'm pretty sure we all already have)

You take a photo of a Picasso it ain't gonna turn into a real Picasso... it's only ever gonna be a photo. Ya dig???????

on the other hand: if you're saying this is the actual FLAC that was used BY datpiff to produce their version, that's a different story. Is it exclusive like that???
